As a quality-conscious startup, we operate a high-intensity manufacturing plant focused on "farm-to-bowl" excellence.

Location

Compensation

Role Summary

The Dispatch Supervisor is the final guardian of our freshness promise. You are responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and quality-controlled fulfilment across all sales channels. This role demands hands-on floor supervision, rigid cold-chain diligence, and proactive demand forecasting to ensure every customer receives their order safe and on schedule.

The Startup Grind & Operational Mindset

We operate a high-speed factory environment where the "startup grind" is a daily reality. This role is for a leader who leads from the front, not from a desk. You must possess a bias for action and the resilience to manage rotational shifts and high-pressure dispatch windows. We value an ownership mindset - individuals who see bottlenecks as challenges to solve rather than excuses for delay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Forecasting & Inwarding: Analyze historical consumption and production cycles to plan Minimum Order Quantities (MoQ); coordinate with Production for the timely availability of dehydrated, frozen, and retorted stock.
  • Packing & Fulfilment Oversight: Supervise the end-to-end packing of treats, chews, and meals; ensure all packaging meets food safety standards for moisture and temperature control while maintaining strict FIFO and batch traceability.
  • Daily Dispatch Management: Execute dispatch schedules based on Shopify dashboards and subscription cycles; perform final QC checks on SKU accuracy, weights, seal integrity, and labelling.
  • Cold-Chain Stewardship: Maintain rigorous temperature logs and "freezer-to-bag" timelines for frozen goods; immediately report any thawing, leaks, or deviations from SOP.
  • Delivery & 3PL Coordination: Liaise with in-house and 3PL partners (e.g., Porter) for route planning and handover; resolve real-time exceptions such as rider cancellations or address clarifications.
  • Inventory & Team Management: Supervise and train packers/loaders on speed and hygiene; track stocks of packing materials (pouches, gel packs, cartons) and raise proactive requisitions to prevent shortages.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain are an advantage.
  • Experience: 5 to 6 years total experience in logistics/fulfilment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (Food, FMCG, or D2C mandatory).
  • Languages: Fluent English and Hindi; proficiency in Kannada is highly preferred for local coordination.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheet for order tracking and reporting.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • On-Time Dispatch Rate (OTD) and Order Accuracy (% error-free)
  • Cold Chain Compliance Score (Temperature Deviation Rate)
